FAQS
What is the Disruption Convergence?
The Disruption Convergence is the collision of three forces that permanently changed how we work: new ways of working (hybrid and remote work, devices, and newer generations), repeated layoffs, and AI. The term was created by AROSE Group to describe the sustained pressure these forces put on leaders at the same time.
Who coined the term Disruption Convergence?
AROSE Group, a leadership development and organizational consulting firm, coined the term based on its work with thousands of leaders worldwide. It is the foundation of AROSE's leadership model, Lead as a Pivot Player™.
What are the three factors of the Disruption Convergence?
The way we work, layoffs, and AI. Each one is a major shift. Together, they amplify each other and create constant uncertainty for leaders and teams.
Why is the Disruption Convergence so hard on leaders?
Neuroscience shows uncertainty is more stressful than certain bad news, and stress weakens the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for judgment and emotional control. Power adds to the effect by reducing empathy and perspective-taking. Gallup data shows global manager engagement fell from 31% in 2022 to 22% in 2025.
How does AI fit into the Disruption Convergence?
AI is both a source of fear and a source of possibility. It is now the leading reason companies give for job cuts in 2026. Used with intentionality, it can also change our relationship to overworking and productivity.
How can leaders navigate the Disruption Convergence?
By leading with a different type of power. AROSE Group's Pivot Player™ model uses neuroscience to help leaders manage disruption and stress while accelerating execution and results, without sacrificing their teams or their wellbeing.
